RE: Cool Mods

Question, Has anyone build a mod for compartment storage? I looked at some slide out trays and they are a pretty penny. I have a large storage bin in the front of my camper but its hard to reach all the way in. A large sliding tray would be awesome. Any Ideas?

RE: Power Tongue Jack Installation

I got some time today to drive out to my TT and put the new Bulldog 4000 pounder on. I hooked up my TV, removed the three bolts holding the old manual one on and in less than 5 mins had the old one off and in the storage compartment(just in case). I opened the box and pulled out the new electric jack. The jack slid easily into the first hole on the top and stopped about 2 inches away from where it should be. I looked underneath and found that the bottom hole was just a hair smaller than the top. A few minuets later with a grinder and my drill, the hole was big enough to bottom out the jack. Three bolts in with lock washers, and the nuts underneath secured it in place. I ran the wire along the shaft, and zip tied it all the way to the battery giving a neat appearance. Hooked her up to the battery terminal using a new connector, and viola, no more hand cranking for me. My buddy got there just in time to see me hooking it up. Needless to say he is ordering one now and I will be helping him install his in the upcoming week!

RE: HOW DO YOU WIRE TWO BATTERIES

I have only one battery. Is there really much difference having 2 batteries on board? Is it worth doing? What benefits are there other thank the obvious? Thanks
Reading your question, I am not sure what you consider "obvious" but the advantage is simply much more available amp hours to use when you are drycamping (without any electric hookup).
We don't dry camp, or boondock, would it still be a good idea to add a second battery just in case?:S

RE: Family traditions while camping

We have a family tradition of watching the movie "RV" everytime we go camping. We even quote lines from the movie, especially when were at the dumpstation, the kids get a big kick out of it.

RE: No tv when camping was I wrong.

We watch a movie every Saturday night at the campground together, otherwise tv is for rainy days and just before bed to catch up on the news.

RE: Selecting new TT

I agree with Pam, those Jackknife sofas are very uncomfortable, and not very long either. I would go with the trundle.

RE: Electric Tongue Jack

Hi All, I just recieved my new jack today. It is a Bulldog 4,000 lb capactiy. I ordered the 2500 pounder' but it was out of stock. They sent me the 4k for the same price. I guess its even more heavy duty now. Anyone using the Bulldog brand? I am planning on installing tommorow and will post an update.
